French Delegation form Institute Curie visited SBUMS Cancer Research Center
Tuesday, May 19, 2015,the SBUMS Cancer Research Center hosted the French delegation from Institute Curie. This visit which was made based on the request of the French team and arranged by the SBUMS Deputy of International Affairs, led to a scientific meeting. Both sides introduced their research centers and their scientific activities. They also shared and exchanged their latest research findings, therapeutic measures and achievements.
The meeting was hosted by Dr. Ghareh baghian, Director of University to International Advancement, Ms.Vatan Parvar, staff of the University International Affairs DTP, Dr.Maryam Khayam Zadeh, Deputy Director of the SBUMS Cancer Research Center, Mr.Moshfegh, Financial Manager of the research center and two researchers working in that research center: Dr.Soheila Sayad , Fellowship of breast cancer and Dr.Fahimeh Nazemian, Fellowship of breast surgery. The French delegation consisted of Dr.Susan Hojat, Head of Research & Clinical Studies of Blood Transfusion Organization in France, Dr.Fariba Nemati and Dr.Didir de Coudine, the two researchers in Institute Curie.
Dr.Khayam Zadeh opened the meeting by her explanations on the SBUMS Cancer Research, its facilities and available equipment, activities, year of establishment, researchers, faculty members as well as the growing trend of scientific activities and achievements. Afterwards, Dr.Didir de Coudine introduced Institute Courie and presented some information on laboratory equipment, their activities, number of new types of cancer which have been recently discovered and patented by their researchers in that Institute.
In the end, both sides of the meeting showed extreme interest to collaborate in the field of education and research in the future.
